The Cocoon Club, known beyond the borders of Germany was a very futuristic place. In the development of the new concept, it was certainly a balancing act between the high expectations due to the history of the site, and the desire of the the client's wish "not to have a styled concept – coincidence should design".

The goal was in any case to create a unique in Europe concert club with a special atmosphere. At the same time, the past of the location should not be completely be erased. Thus the formative membrane wall was preserved or even strengthened in its design, by removing the old cocoons built into it and close the surface with membrane stones reproduced for this purpose. A few Cocoons were allowed to stay and got a new "ME". Thus the guest is for example introduced by a ZOOM lettering in a kaleidoscope cocoon at the entrance. From here, the guest is guided into the different areas and different worlds.

In addition to the concert room there is a range of different bar areas which generate different atmospheres because of their different designs. A "rocky" pub, a "playful" smoking area smoking area, a drinking hall as an additional coffee and beverage counter, as well as the big main bar as the major supply for concerts. All these bars have their own, completely independent history as the basis for their design.

The backstage area, which is not accessible to the public was created at the request of the as a special offer for the artists. It offers them private as well as communicative areas. The aim was to provide artists passing through a place where they can relax from the from the stressful daily routine of the tour and to have legendary after-show parties after their concerts. The backstage area offers spacious, with a lot of love to the detail designed with great attention to detail, leaving hardly anything to be desired. In the center is the large lounge with several long tables where people can eat and work together. A separate catering kitchen, 3 retreat rooms, changing rooms with mask, as well as a large sanitary area with laundromat are a highlight for every artist on the transit.
