The LINE DC is the ultimate mash-up of old school homage and vanguard progressiveness. A bipartisan aesthetic, if up you will. Simultaneously connected to a forward thinking local creative culture and mainline DC tradition, this hotel defies easy categorization. Located in Adams Morgan one of DC's most diverse neighborhoods, the LINE DC is the second location in the genesis of this nascent hotel property. With live music venues, ethnic cuisine from five continents, local independent boutiques and galleries, this area is home to much of DC's flourishing creative culture. In one of the most transient cities in our nation the Adams Morgan neighborhood has a locals only atmosphere. Inspired by the district and housed inside a 110-year old historic church, the LINE DC is the product of a community effort by local chefs, bartenders, and artists. Full Service Radio broadcasts live from the hotel lobby daily, while celebrated chefs like Spike Gjerde and Erik Bruner-Yang embrace the region's diversity with American and international culinary experiences. The church interiors were repurposed to include the hotel lobby, two bars, two restaurants and banqueting spaces. A new INC designed old school mid-rise masonry building was developed at the rear of the property for the hotel rooms. Imagined as the parsonage or seminary backdrop to the church's iconic figure, the new structure was elaborated as a back-to-the-future homage to the history of the site.
