We were tasked to design the new flagship location for SYMPHONY, a homegrown UAE luxury fashion store, at its new, 2-floor home within The Dubai Mall’s recently launched Fashion Avenue Extension.

We aimed to design a space that aligned with the SYMPHONY brand guidelines and persona which are: Airy, Light, and Inviting. The design reflects their expert curation, bespoke customization, personalized services and overall nurturing environment.

Our Inspiration:

A SYMPHONY is a musical composition for a full orchestra, a blend of sounds that create a beautiful harmony. Our space has been inspired by the fluidity of these musical waves and the harmony that can result from the blending of different instruments, amongst the creative talent, i.e. the showcased products.

Results:

Keeping the concept of a symphony as our inspiration, we recreated this harmony architecturally through a melodic use of lighting and materials. Through the curvature of the paneling and walls, and the blurring and blending of spaces, the shopper can sense lightness and movement.

Organic shapes and soft curves, on the walls and dressing racks, are light and airy creating attention toward the featured dresses on display.

The simplicity and detailing of our space exudes quality craftsmanship, luxury and elegance. The warm tones, and open airy spaces ensure the retail experience is not intimidating, but rather warm and inviting.

The space allows the products to really be showcased while still having a strong architectural identity.
