For temporary exhibition spaces, the interaction between design and social concepts can move people more than the simple existence of a place. - Interior
The air film that gives the texture of the stone subverts people's inherent concepts and cognitions of stone, and the building is no longer a rigid structure that is "watched", but is very recognizable and attractive at the visual and perceptual levels. Materials, textures, experiences...... The ultimate goal of experimental design is to care for people's perception and experience. - Interior
The texture of artificial stone is expressed more diversely in the exhibition pavilion, and the contrast between the softness of the space building materials and the hardness of the exhibits, further enriches the experience of the exhibition hall and brings a more interesting and complex look and feel to the audience. - Interior

Having worked with the SIGHTONE MARBLE in Design Week for many years, we have performed many scenes about stone together, and this time, we want to keep an appropriate distance from the "construction in full swing".

In this era of rapid evolution, the overuse and waste of temporary building materials are like "one-night stands in architecture", which prompt us to think about how to build.

The exhibition pavilion takes "floating stones" as the concept and PVC air film cube as the carrier, transforming the product characteristics and environmental protection concept into a special experience. Sustainable design isn't just a buzzword, it's a practice that reduces our environmental impact through the use of recyclable materials, while delivering functionality and aesthetic value.

Considering the intense pace of the exhibition during the Design Week, we prefer to give the exhibition pavilion a relaxed and free atmosphere.

The floor plan of the pavilion is laid out with a double moving line of one entry and one exit. The stone exhibits used on the exterior wall of the building are intensively presented on the surface of the core of the building, avoiding large-scale visual extravagance. The exhibits are embedded in the walls and flexibly distributed in various spaces, triggering the curiosity and discovery of visitors.

The air film that gives the texture of the stone subverts people's inherent concepts and cognitions of stone, and the building is no longer a rigid structure that is "watched", but is very recognizable and attractive at the visual and perceptual levels.

Combining the awareness of environmental protection with knowledge and action, we created an exhibition pavilion that was quickly built and quickly dismantled. Construction materials can be stored, transported, flexibly moved and recycled in the smallest of spaces, creating a closed loop with lower carbon emissions before, during and after the exhibition.

For temporary exhibition spaces, the interaction between design and social concepts can move people more than the simple existence of a place. They are embodied here as – diversity of texture, plasticity and stability trade-off and naturalness and human intervention.

As an experiential building, the construction process of the exhibition pavilion is more meaningful than the act of display—it is a "zero-waste" architectural model. Completed in a short period of time before the opening of Design Week, the periphery swells up instantly, being experienced by people, and then disappears instantly, leaving no trace like the rising sun and the setting of the moon, leaving more room for understanding and imagination for the audience.

Finally, it can also enter into the narrative of people's lives. The inflatable blocks that were dismantled after the display were taken away and rebuilt into people's emotions and memories as coffee tables, stools, pillows, venting toys or just gifts of love that made people smile.
