Located in Gokturk Istanbul, O House is designed by escapefromsofa in 2023. In the apartment located on the 3rd floor of the residential block in Kemer Country Yalı Konaklar, which was built in the 2000s; the spatial and functional interventions that blend the habits, routines and daily life flows of the inhabitants with the existing design language of the house formed the scope of the project.

In the single-storey living space spreads over 270 square meters; the layout plan is arranged in two parts as common and private spaces, and these spaces are separated by a double door. At the request of the inhabitants, a young couple, an eclectic design language with traces of Brooklyn style is adopted. Clearly embracing the Brooklyn style, the sitting and dining areas are planned together in the living room. In the shell of the place; contrast is created by choosing dark tones on the floor and door, light tones and laths on the walls.

The slatted windows, which form the original language of the house, are completed with shutters. An eclectic integrity is achieved by embracing the contrast approach on the surfaces in the furniture selections. The kitchen, which is thought in white tones, offers a modern language in forms and is completed with handmade ceramics specially designed for the project.

The double-wing door, which divides the T-shaped corridor of the house from its single wing, is designed as a defining element of the spatial flow, which is considered as common and private areas. In this sense, the master bedroom, work room and bathroom have been separated from the common areas of the living space, namely the living room, kitchen, guest bedroom and WC. The storage areas for the needs of the inhabitants are solved with the built-in systems designed along both corridors.
