“People's expectation for a better life is the essence that we put into the design. Digging into urban culture and applying avant-garde art are our creative ways to interpret spatial characteristics.” The designers explained. Through the project, they hoped to reactivate Shekou, an inclusive, international artistic community with wharf culture.

Innovation:
The designers creatively viewed the overall space as an image collection of countless scenes, which can be deconstructed into infinite possibilities and explored in the context of abundant installations. Through various creative combinations of textures, technology, installations and expressive methods, the design creates resonance among "symbols" and infuses the space with poetry and spirituality. Except for functions, the designers attempted to explore differentiated and memorable traits for the space, so as to highlight the brand's character from scene to spirit, image to experience.

Creativity:
The core creative innovation lies in the combination of advanced technology with art aesthetics, which fully interprets the spatial diversity. The improvement from functions to aesthetics, from sensual to spiritual resonance, is a part of the transition from personalization to artistry of the brand. The artistic arrangement of the entrance hall, signboard and outdoor decorative articles forms a relatively fuzzy entrance, where the designers think out of the box by introducing a modern concept of “shared interface”. To achieve heavy industrial art with metal materials, the designers work to present diversified effects of consciousness visualization to offer people a sense of intimacy and cordiality. The designers intentionally blur the position of the reception, while putting the cafe & bar area in front to catch people’s attention when entering the space. This, to some extent, can respond to the free vibe and achieve micro-interaction, allowing more interactions between the guests and the space.

Functionality:
Around the tree are curved leather sofas and chairs, forming a negotiation area that complements the hollow-carved partition and the reflected lights and shadows with enjoyment. Stairs functionally exist for connecting various areas in the space, and aesthetically exist as a transition setting of art. Thinking beyond convention and stereotype, the designers delineate a book bar at the heart of the area with a fuzzy mysticism, aiming for a brand new sensual experience of “ICON RANZ”. Sustainability: A large number of reusable red clay bricks in the public area set the tone of the space. Those materials can be sustainably used and recycled when the space is transformed or upgraded in the future. With metal texture contrasting with delicate leather, hazy lights echoing the projection of ripples, light-gray wall complementing dark blue ceiling, and artistic glass ornaments integrating with glass partition that features color gradients, the stylish furnishings improve the taste of the overall space.
