Gwenael Nicolas (CURIOSITY) took a role of general producer of the store concept not only as an interior designer, for the first flagship store in Japan for HIPANDA, the renown Chinese street brand.
With full use of AR technology, Nicolas created a playful and futuristic space like “ghost house”, where provides the visitors with fun to search invisible host of the house, panda character.
The journey starts even before entering the store. A fury panda face would pop up on screen, when you look up the large HIPANDA logo on façade through your smart phone with special app. Another shape-shifting panda will welcome the visitors at the entrance and send them to slope with view of traditional Japanese garden under the glass floor which also generates popping pandas in sequence.
The store has three stories which is the largest scale for the brand history.
From the main room with enjoyable lighting in the basement to the upper floor with “ghost room” appearing and disappearing panda inside, the store explains fully HIPANDA world.
Variety of mannequin shapes, shoppers-friendly hanging system, non-stop presentation of rotating collection and fridge-looking fitting rooms are also enjoyable factors which offer journey for HIPANDA world to the visitors.
