The project is located in the new central axis of Xi'an, occupying the central business district in its urban planning. The design team uses the metaphor of "horizontal and vertical lines" to symbolize latitude and longitude, aligning with one of the key north-south and east-west arteries in the road network of the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, known as "Five Verticals and Five Horizontals." The "double entrances" design hints at the excellent geographical location with two subway stations nearby. The repeated "vertical and horizontal latitude and longitude" weave a comprehensive network for business negotiations, leisure, office services, and bespoke craftsmanship, presenting the vitality of Xi'an's new axis and the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone.
In this space, the designers have created an artistic environment for office workers to escape from the hustle, disorder, and monotony. They aim to inspire the virtues of cooperation and interpersonal artistry in the complex and ever-changing business environment with the beauty and kindness found in art, fostering a harmonious resonance between physical aesthetics and the soul.
Starting with minimalism, the designers break away from space's mediocrity and unnecessary spaciousness using asymmetry and organic digital art. They transform functionality into a contemporary architectural aesthetic of art-level quality while capturing the ideal trend of inner emotions at the "golden ratio point" between weariness and passion, reason and imagination.
The lobby primarily features a light palette of Italian stone, complemented by the metallic sheen of gray-white lacquer and oxidized aluminum, creating a cool and poetic atmosphere that resonates with the high-end business sensibility of the space. Merging Western techniques with Eastern artistic conception, the space offers great flexibility while preserving an elegant design language and a courteous ancient style. It embraces a kind of imagination reminiscent of ink painting, with ink colors and white space, harmonizing stillness and motion, and blending the real with the virtual.
Large rotating fixtures, which symbolize the intersecting network of the new central axis, provide both functionality and artistry. They have used a bold and expressive "modern ink painting" digital media art to break the monotony and seriousness of the space. The water-like texture of digital art introduces color, relaxation, and flow, allowing people to engage in a dialogue with the architecture and use their imaginative sensibilities to counteract the tense, anxious, and dull aspects of our inner selves.
