As REXON's domestic office and exhibition hall, the 89-square-meter space not only undertakes daily office and reception functions but also serves as a window for the enterprise to showcase itself to the outside world. The pain point of the project lies in how to balance the relationship between the office and exhibition spaces, allowing them to be naturally and harmoniously presented in the same space, and achieving high-quality implementation under the premise of extremely limited cost budget.

Before the renovation, the floor plan was traditional and the space was closed. Therefore, ByoArc completely released the original space into an unobstructed open field by removing all non-load-bearing walls. The entrance was also moved to a position facing the elevator hall, making the space more public.

The top of the entire space has no ceiling, thus increasing the height of the exhibition hall. The exposed pipelines are painted white, forming an industrial aesthetic tone with the custom track spotlight system. The light accurately projects the exhibits through adjustable-angle lamps; the exhibition platform is entirely made of wood, and the side is partially spliced with matte stainless steel.

Since the walls were all removed, the load-bearing columns were exposed in the center of the venue, becoming a disadvantage in the design. Therefore, ByoArc transformed the columns into the focal point of spatial narration, extending them into a 6-meter-long rectangular exhibition platform. The exhibition platform integrates product display drawers, built-in bars, and hidden power interfaces, meeting the needs of multiple scenarios from coffee to product displays.

The remaining space still needs to carry the functions of office, leisure, reception, and exhibition. Modular and flexible space division has become the solution. Functions are no longer defined by physical boundaries but can be dynamically reconstructed at any time according to usage needs. Two movable wooden boxes form the core variables of the space. The large box is a tall cabinet with enterprise display content, while the small box integrates a tea table and storage modules. Both bottoms are equipped with silent universal wheels and positioning buckles. Through pushing and pulling for relocation, the space can present several typical modes:

- Semi-private mode: The large box is against the wall, separating an independent office space.

- Fully open mode: The large boxes are arranged in parallel, forming a through exhibition hall and salon area, creating a circular movement route with the exhibition platform.

- Mixed mode: The large box is arranged by the door, and the small box is used as a coffee table to form a rest and reception area.

ByoArc hopes to abandon the traditional office space model and explore more flexible layout methods to adapt to different usage scenarios.
