Make it vivid and playful – the experts at DFROST Retail Identity designed Essence’s extraordinary pop-up store where maximum experience is key. We picked up on the latest mega trends in retail such as DIY and customisation, adapting them to the preferences of the target group. The result is an interactive play area for young cosmetics.
The mainly young customers are welcomed on two floors to the Essence brand world and DIY area, and are invited to become co-producers. This is where, for the first time, they can create and customise products such as lip gloss and nail varnish.
The space is brought to life by means of vividly coloured, playful furnishings. This world of experience is rounded off with light installations, together with specially developed graphics and photo wallpapers. The airy, colourful design has an unfussy, playful feel. In contrast, the space around it has been deliberately left untreated so that the interior stands out, and in order to accentuate the industrial, factory look. In this way the brightly coloured but industrial-style furniture is displayed to best effect within the space, inspiring customers to come up with imaginative creations. By combining diverse analogue and digital mechanisms, we succeeded in turning a visit to the Essence Maker Shop into a unique experience.
