1.Background of the project
This is a restaurant brand focusing on Japanese cuisine. The design team wanted to present the brand depth of the space through a unique design language. It is not only an ordinary izakaya space, but also a diversified Japanese night dining culture experience store.
2.Design concept
The traditional Japanese Japanese-style buildings are simple in style, small and delicate, and are inseparable from the courtyard culture in design. We adopt a non-traditional Japanese style, with "richness" and "transition" as the core, and use the space atmosphere and installation to present the Japanese food culture hymn vaguely in the space.
3.Interior space
The overall interior environment adopts the technique of gray space, which not only creates a fine dining atmosphere, but also creates many spatial details. The wooden frame and wooden tables and chairs on the top become bright colors in the space, enhancing the natural look and feel of the space. "Robatayaki" originated from the fishermen's diet on the seaside in the Edo period of Japan. The embodiment of culture has some requirements for the design of the grilled atmosphere in the restaurant environment. The wall and floor that are designed to be hidden seem to become a curtain for naturally presenting the effect of catering. The elevated design of the bar allows you to see the focused production process of cooking in any corner of the space. In the warm light, the distance between people is easier to be intimate. The spatial hierarchy of "noisy-quiet-noisy" enriches the aesthetics. The two wandering perspectives convey different layers and progressions, which are easier to arouse the emotions of the guests.
4.Entrance differentiated design
The space location is located on the first floor of the shopping mall, the east entrance is connected with the interior of the shopping mall, and the west entrance faces the street. The double-ended entrance adopts a differentiated design to create a difference between the diners and the space at first sight. The entrance on the west side reflects the thatched landscape and soft light on the grille-style façade design, allowing diners to directly spy on the rich dynamics in the space. The entrance opening of the clear-scale exterior façade induces diners to come and go. The entrance facing the street on the east side needs to pass through the dark landscape trail to enter the formal space. From the bustling city, through the quiet transition space at the entrance, and then to the izakaya.
5.Summarize
We break the construction mode of traditional Japanese restaurant, let the opposition between sophistication and rudeness echo with Japanese izakaya, and give full play to the aesthetics of gray space. In addition to cooking, we hope to reflect the diverse Japanese style conveyed by this restaurant and bring more warm dining experience to the diners.
