A licensed Interior Designer, Jacqueline has over ten years of experience honed especially within the luxury hospitality industry - giving her a tenacious edge in her craft. Having worked with the world’s most prestigious firms, her passion for design, scope, and experience has proven to be an invaluable asset amongst projects that span internationally. She blends her special affinity for the West with her Asian background in order to create a unique design thinking, fashioning bespoke projects with distinctive flair for each of her clients. Throughout Jacqueline's career, she has worked with the world's most prestigious firms, such as HBA and LW Design. She has had the privilege to work on many high-profile hospitality and private, confidential projects across the Middle East and Asia. Her portfolio is an extraordinarily curated collection of award-winning projects that she and her team have collaborated over. She brings unique and creative storytelling to her designs and has contributed creatively to a broad range of hospitality projects. Since joining LW Design, she has impactfully enhanced the visual style of client presentations and brought about a fresh appeal to the concept creation process. Her recent promotion shows that her contributions to the design world are applauded, recognised and respectfully rewarded. CAREER HIGHLIGHT/FAVOURITE PROJECT Jacqueline strives to provide equal attention and dedication to each of her projects. She and the LW team have just recently completed an ultra-luxury hotel property, one where they were able to successfully re-invent the typical and standard design workflow, challenging the norms of a traditional set-up. She says of the project, "One of the many reasons I loved this project is because the team has almost completely re-invented the typical workflow. We worked with such a collaborative team spirit, with skillful confidence, which resulted in a body of work that not only are we truly in love with, but the whole office, clients and operators have been endlessly praising us for the work". She is very excited to see this project come to life. Not only is it a testament to LW’s passion, but it also shows that collaboratively, as a team, they go great lengths to deliver a project that is well beyond the clients’ expectations. They complete each and every requirement that was set before them, and more. Jacqueline enjoys totally immersing herself in every aspect of a project. From concept ideas and mood boards, schematic planning, and post-contract commitments that result in a joyful handover to the clients. Her disciplined approach allows her to showcase exemplary design conceptualisation, graphic design presentations, and furniture, fixtures and equipment selections. She has proven to play key roles in the team as she invaluably contributes her exemplary understanding of project deliverables and contract requirements. Her career experience allows her to deliver seamless projects and continuously deliver results that are above and beyond LW Design and client expectations. INITIATIVE AND PASSION Jacqueline has an incredibly strong sense of empathy. Over the years, it's led her to wonder if she should have chosen an alternative career path. However, at the end of the day, her absolute love for interior design wins through each and every time. She has realised that her passion and positive energy does serve the industry and the younger generations. She leads by example and happily offers mentorships to youngsters starting their careers. She prides herself in being highly efficient, detail-oriented, organised, innovative, and a great team player. Slowly, through time, she has come to realise that there is no reason to separate her mission and her passion. Her ultimate goal is to change lives through design the way it has changed hers. In the future, she wants to help fund scholarship awards, mentor others, host workshops, or in time, all of the above. In addition to this, she is also perpetually striving to advocate for the interior design industry. Jacqueline wants to educate non-industry professionals about the impact and importance of interior design. She wants to showcase the global value of interior design by recognising its aesthetic purposes and wellness, safety, and sustainability. Jacqueline would like to continue her education in either law or management to achieve this goal. POSITIVE IMPACT ON COLLEAGUES Jacqueline's passion is made up of grit, sheer determination and confident proactiveness. She is an eternal optimist and retains her sense of positivity even when the going gets tough. She has realised that her determination and dedication help build camaraderie in the team and, therefore, a reliable and dependable team that will deliver excellent results. Her strong work ethics and passion are visible in her daily interactions with colleagues, inspiring and allowing them to establish a solid trust with her. She has had an impeccable career with incredible mentors who have allowed her to grow and blossom and given her boundless confidence. She is also aware that every step of her career has shaped her into the designer that she is today. This gives her humility and keeps her approachable, especially to those under her care. More often than not, her relationships with colleagues turn into beautiful friendships. Her circle of trust is made up of the interns and assistants that she has trained, her peers, and her bosses and mentors who have shaped her to be the best she can be and the person that she has become today. Her work is one of the biggest passions in her life, and she takes great pleasure from being able to positively fuse work and life together. LEADERSHIP QUALITIES [0/300] "In a gentle way, you can shake the world" - Mahatma Gandhi. As an introvert, most of Jacqueline's leadership qualities are defined by her inherent personality traits. She is not the loudest person in the room, but she listens carefully and executes what is required above and beyond all expectations. She hopes to inspire and encourage this same passion and dedication among her peers and generations to come. She strongly draws from her goal to impact lives through design the way it did to hers. Her genuine wish as a leader is to encourage the younger generation, and to serve as a reminder for them to appreciate each stage of their career path - by learning from good and bad experiences and valuing the challenges just as much as the successes. On this journey, they can be one and the same. Jacqueline says, "In the way of paradox, I like to think that I balance myself with the qualities I possess. For example, I am meticulous and a perfectionist and expect others to deliver the same; however, being empathetic, I feel compassion towards others which allow me to be understanding at the same time." Her leadership style is still something that she always strives to develop. She understands that everyone is a work in progress and wants to keep an open mind to grow alongside everyone who crosses her path.
