Located on the top floor, the Penthouse offers a panoramic 180degrees views of Bahrain harbour and Bab al Bahrain. The floor plan, while relatively open, can be transformed to accommodate formal gatherings. A library has been merged with the dining room to simulate a Private Dining Room and at the same time offers an anteroom for guests to mingle and grab a cocktail or two from a custom liquor cabinet LW has designed especially for this prestigious project.

The two lounge rooms possess distinct personalities, where one is more formal and therefor uses more sophisticated tone on tone fabrics, accented by a few bold accessories; the other is more organic and utilizes a bolder but still refined colour palette with equally interesting statement pieces. In between these major rooms houses a commissioned artwork from one of Bahrain’s notable artists, developed in cooperation with Two Art Consultants.

The balcony offers a refuge twenty-four stories high where guests can enjoy the sunset in the pool overlooking the harbour, with undisturbed views. In the master and secondary bedrooms, the same view is visible. With timber floors, wallpapered walls, luxurious fabrics and a custom designed art pieces to honor Bahrain’s vibrant art scene, it will be difficult to leave these rooms. In the master, a small lounge area and a library wall ensures guest have everything they need for a relaxing day of recharging.

The master bathroom is framed with a rich Calacatta Violet, while custom round mirror carries the softness found in the rest of the spaces and offers additional storage. The bathtub rests below a tiered Mito lamp, with cove lighting that is meant to simulate a skylight. [this part can be deleted] With a brief to design a contemporary Moorish inspired rooftop outlet, Maura embodies the Mediterranean charm and hospitality.

An upscale restaurant, the offerings are diverse and flexible to welcome early birds, casual brunch, mid-week treats, and weekend indulgences. The space is mainly comprised of four main components : the pool bar, the relaxed lounge area, the main dining, and the show kitchen which is designed in collaboration with the notable Wherehaus.

The transformative pool bar is adjacent to the lounge room which allows for Maura’s interior finishes to blend seamlessly to the outdoors. The main dining, while offering a more formal ambiance through the change of dining ergonomics, retains fun and crafted focal point such as a custom-made mosaic artwork wall. Throughout the F&B, locally crafted pots and planters are scattered across enlivening the space through its unique forms, colours and material selections.
