Located in Jinjiang Airport in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, the design concept of the project aims to "take culture as the core" to build a diversified form anchor, explore the relationship between people and the new library, the cultural declaration and spirit of the region. Jinjiang Airport is a very important transportation hub in southern Fujian region. The designer hopes to inject temperature into the bustling airport so that travelers can have a feeling of coming home. At the same time, it can build a rich scene of activities for the airport, so as to improve the use efficiency of public cultural service resources.
Therefore, after analyzing spatial attributes, functional requirements and main users of the field, the designer takes southern Fujian culture, multi-functionality and openness as the direction of space construction, and creates a humanistic public space integrating various functions such as cultural communication, activity planning, commercial retail, reading and tourist rest. Social ritual activities in the form of "physical presence, joint participation, emotional exchange and resonance" bring travelers together in one place and immerse themselves in the physical and mental feelings brought by southern Fujian culture.
