Chongqing is a unique city which covers a large area crisscrossed by rivers and mountains. Its stacked road network and different distinctive elements together form a “fantastic 3D city”, which enjoys a sense of layering and a linear charm. Such a particular visual effect is applied to the lighting design of E37 Pavilion, which is the iconic building of LUXERIVERS property development. Based on the concept of “a micro city”, the lighting design extracts elements of natural environment and culture of Chongqing to express different functional spaces in an artistic way. On 1F, the sculptural work created by Artist Shi Jindian is displayed in the small exhibition hall. It is made from simple materials and appears to be transparent and flexible. It looks like a diversified visual spectacle of numerous lifelines. The designers expect to create a space that unites the human mind through the lighting design. The light is stripped into separate lines that poetically move in the space and help create a world of Zen. The view platform on 2F is clad in colorful light membrane in order to add a fluid tint into the space. Stretch ceiling not only display the quality texture of the space, but also improve the visual beauty and cultural implication, therefore adding a new charm to the interior design of the video room and becoming the most eye-catching place in this space. In addition, it also satisfies the requirements of lighting, palette and form in the public space design.
