The Bernard Beerhouse carries out its mission of creating an immersive and welcoming experience for visitors while incorporating the brand's identity and history into the space. The interior design draws inspiration from the industrial character of the brewery, creating a cozy environment for relaxation and socializing with friends. The black cement screed on the walls and wooden furniture, with copper highlights on the bar, lighting, and structural elements, creates a harmonious contrast that adds to the inviting atmosphere of the place.
One of the unique features of the interior is the walls made of beer bottles set in a metal frame, which not only serves as a partition between different spaces but also creates a magical shadow play with the light passing through the bottle glass, coloring the interior with a honey shade of beer.
The atmosphere of the place is built on black cement screed on the walls and wooden furniture, with copper features on the bar, lighting and structural elements that stand out in harmonious contrast. The highlights of the interior are walls made of beer bottles set in metal frames. This design element also works as room divider. The light passing through the bottle glass creates captivating shadow play and colours the interior with a honey shade of beer.
The roof illumination is primarily provided by a system of dimmable led spotlights. They are complemented by the distinctive yet simple design lights with copper details. Copper strips are placed locally on the walls, onto which wall lights are directed, creating indirect warm, honey-coloured reflections. The refurbished furniture is part of an overall concept of "Old meets New" where new meets history.
The Beerhouse is connected to a newly built terrace, which opens up to the panorama of Humpolec town and is used for pleasant outdoor seating. The use of natural materials such as wood and the incorporation of distinctive features made from beer bottles highlight the brewery's unique identity and history, promoting a sense of place and local culture.
The project's use of local companies (interior supplier, design light producer, and construction company) and sustainable materials contributes to the local economy and reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation. Consideration was given to end-of-life disposal and healthy materials, with a focus on maximizing re-use and minimizing waste.
Overall, the Bernard Beerhouse effectively accomplishes its goal of creating engaging and welcoming atmosphere for visitors while showcasing the brand's identity and history.into the space. The use of creative design elements such as beer bottle walls and suspended copper beer tanks, along with the use of natural materials and sustainable options, showcases thinking that promotes a sense of place and local culture.
