Innovation: Situated in Wanda Plaza, Wukesong, Beijing, the inaugural BE1ST premise introduces several groundbreaking programs and adopts a model that seamlessly integrate dynamic and static activities. Through scenario-based, game-oriented, and engaging sports entertainment activities, it challenges conventional notions of sports, aiming to create a comprehensive sports and social space to offer all-sensory experience for all family members. Distinguished from conventional children’s sports arenas, BE1ST adopts functional zoning based on the theme of “happy sports”, to meet the demands for various sports activities and connect them into a cohesive whole through a guiding circulation route.

Creativity: Distinguishing itself from conventional sports venues, BE1ST targets a diverse demographic, ranging from teenagers to middle-aged individuals and even professional players, each finding sports tailored to their interests. It provides an engaging sports entertainment destination for family members of different ages, promotes a culture of unity within the society, and delivers multifaceted physical and mental benefits to consumers. The five letters of “BE1ST” respectively represent Brawn/Bounce, Elegance/Evade, Wonder, Speed/Show, Think/Team. BE1ST also stands for “Be First”, aiming to establish a sports destination that seamlessly integrates family time, sports experiences and education, offering a unique physical fitness haven for users of all ages. Its Chinese name deconstructs the Chinese character “玩”, which means “play”, to vividly convey its brand concept, which creatively provides consumers of all ages with an integrated space that amalgamates prevailing global sports trends. Grounded in unique creativity, it offers a series of novel experiences.

Functionality: To enhance the spatial narrative, playability, and enjoyment, the project focuses on differentiated spatial design and incorporates exploratory elements. By combining entertaining sports games, professional sports training, and sports-themed team building activities, it offers innovative sport entertainment experiences such as mysterious wonderland exploration, adventurous challenges, and creative construction games to meet the diverse sports needs of Z-generation families. With services tailored to different functional areas, it allows everyone to find like-minded friends and enjoy the fun of sports in their own way.

Sustainability: The project addressed the restrictions of equipment concealment and deconstructed spatial languages, intertwining design elements to create a unique spatiotemporal environment. The design aims to captivate consumers' visual senses by incorporating scene-based IPs. Diverse crossover experiences derived from sports scenes empower the commercial space. Consumers' experiences and perceptions help enrich the value of the space, extending and conveying it across multiple dimensions.
