Our new studio communicates the design ethos and practice of Architectus. Our work is founded on two pillars: context and the human experience, and the studio design is driven by both. Context is the 25th floor of the much-loved Melbourne tower at 385 Bourke Street. The ubiquitous office layers are peeled back to show, surprisingly, huge welded steel beams and a pristine concrete slab. Every internal setting is framed by a picture window at 45 degrees to the Melbourne grid - a captivating perspective. The human experience of creating, working towards a shared goal, striving for the perfect solution and having fun along the way is evident as soon as you enter our space. A large informal design review space is adjacent to the social hub, where client and staff events can be hosted with the latest technology, space to pin-up, work on the walls and display models and mock-ups. Architectus is known as the industry’s best collaborators. We know to collaborate openly and effectively you must trust your team, and you can only trust what you know. So our social hub is the core of our fit-out, the kitchen and break-out areas are generous, luxurious and uplifting to be in; the interactions here are the foundations of our collaboration.
