Marrying the worlds of fashion and textile design, Kriskadecor’s latest collection – a collaboration with Estudi{H}ac – unlocks new design possibilities with the brand’s aluminium chains.
Estudi{H}ac and its creative director José Manuel Ferrero took fabrics, and the myriad ways they are produced, as the starting point for the Weaving Collection, a group of 14 patterned aluminium chain systems. With two colour combinations offered per pattern, a designer is encouraged to exercise their imagination through the products, using them to strike three-dimensional optical effects in interior spaces.
Because of the lightness of Kriskadecor’s ‘metal fabric’, installation potential is wide, from space dividers to cladding. Structures can be hung from ceilings or walls, in both simple and complex arrangements. Spike in black and white, for instance, gives electric geometry to a space, while Paisley in jungle green lends a sense of organic fluidity. As says the brand, ‘The floating and ethereal effect of the chains, including their gentle movement, weave a visual story to achieve luminous and pleasant atmospheres.’

While an internal anodization process gives Kriskadecor products their colour, stability, and hardness, the inherent properties of aluminium also make them durable and sustainable, with the material corrosion- and wear-resistant and 100 per cent recyclable. The Spanish company’s technical department works with clients every step of the way, guiding optimal realizations whether in private residences, commercial spaces or expansive public projects, like airports and museums.
The Weaving Collection – in total: Herringbone, Denim, Satin, Basket, Chain, Mesh, Waffle, Plain, Rib, Spike, Cardigan, Paisley, Cable and Crepe – embody Kriskadecor’s united commitment to premium aesthetics, functionality and performance, at once a testament to material innovation and statement addition to any interior space.
