Exquisite Bocuse is an upscale restaurant brand based in Shanghai, China, serving Canto-Shanghainese cuisine. Since its establishment, the brand has always insisted on providing exquisite and delicious dishes, creating an elegant and high-end dining environment and a strong cultural atmosphere. As the first restaurant in Beijing, it focuses on how to express its intention at the spiritual level accurately and clearly in the new city and space.

Located on the fourth floor of the Sanxing Tower in the core CBD area of Beijing, the restaurant design continues the respect for space and traditional cultural heritage, and it is also a public welfare project of Shanxi ancient architecture protection program.

It introduces the humanistic feelings of Jiangnan Watertown, which is realized by multiple wall finishes so that the layered walls are like local residences along the waterfront. This approach weakens the long and narrow sense of the public space and makes the corridors become river channels connecting each VIP room, thus, enriching the space level. The front hall is an exhibition hall full of artistic and cultural atmosphere, where a hand-made architectural model is displayed in the form of deconstruction, increasing the thickness of the work and showing the charm of ancient building. The Jiangnan charm has also begun to spread from here. The color system of gray walls and black tiles is presented by suspended half walls and hollowed-out bricks. The landscape treatment of dry mountains and rivers introduces "water" into this interior space.

All kinds of lights are reflected on the corrugated stainless steel ceiling, and the "water waves" are partly hidden and partly visible and rippling in the space. From the reception desk to the waiting area, a variety of red travel through the corridor as horizontal and vertical wooden structures with rich wall textures, breaking the original visual monotony and enriching the horizontal and vertical volume. The red marble floor with changing layers is like streams guiding diners to move forward. With interspersed gray and red walls, the waiting are and service desk are set up here. To sit down in the waiting area, one needs to take two steps to "go ashore". This "water bank" is surrounded by a vaguely transparent half-wall.

The design of the top surface echoes the ground and defines the boundary of this area. Soft lighting and natural-textured furniture invite diners to take a break. The entire restaurant covers an area of about 1,500 square meters. Through the corridor like a waterway, one can reach the western scattered seat area and 10 VIP rooms of different sizes and styles, which can meet different banquet and party needs as much as possible.

Exquisite Bocuse participates in the endangered ancient building protection program on behalf of social forces, presenting this project intertwined with art and culture in an important position in the new restaurant, showing the brand's sense of social responsibility.
