IN TIME GREEN COFFEE

L SID

Submitted in the Bar category, In Time Green Coffee (currently scored at 7.5) is a café in Wuhan designed by L SID. The 480-sq-m café was conceived like a community living room, with integration between indoor and outdoor spaces. Neutral finishes and natural materials cover the interior, which has a generous allocation of windows. There are areas for individual reading and relaxation, as well as spaces for community events and parent-child entertainment.

ANTIHUMAN

Yaneken

Multi-brand retailer Antihuman tapped Yaneken to develop a store-cum-interaction-space (5.97) in Providencia, Chile. Exploring the brand’s values of transparency, sustainability and inclusivity, Yaneken focused on creating a sensory experience encouraging consumers to make ‘informed, conscious’ buying decisions. Digital details and features inspired by streetwear culture appear in the space, the centrepoint of which is an LED-clad tunnel.

LAK CONCEPT STORE

Pone Architecture

Flooring brand Lak’s Guangzhou concept store (Single-Brand Store; 5.34) highlights the company’s continuous research into material development. For the open-plan showroom, Pone Architecture devised a series of areas that take cues from the rhythms and melodies of classical music. LAK’s catalogue is displayed over ten symmetrical triangular islands. ‘Parts define the whole and details bring rich expressions to the space,’ the architects say.

HIKARI LABORATORIES SHOWROOM

Tzvia Kazayoff Studio

Located in a conserved building in a settlement near Tel Aviv, the Hikari Laboratories showroom retains the site’s historical elements while manifesting the cosmetics brand’s commitment to natural materials and innovation. The space comprises a training area for beauticians, a meeting room for staff, diverse seating areas and entertainment, a CEO room with access to space control, a guest restroom, and a kitchenette. Stone, iron, and a luxurious marble floor help establish a timeless environment.

MONASTY

Not a Number Architects

The layout, materiality and colours of Thessaloniki, Greece, hotel Monasty draw on the city’s Byzantine heritage. Not a Number Architects sought to instil an ‘alternative sense of locality’. The Marriott Autograph Collection hotel hosts 100 guestrooms, with various amenities. ‘The chosen materials are setting the environment to its true nature,’ comments Bernardo Tribolet, head of trend scouting at The Swatch Group. ‘The resulting combination with light is fantastic.’
