Sebang Battery, a subsidiary of Sebang Group, is a global leader in lead-acid battery manufacturing with over 70 years of history and exports to more than 130 countries. To evolve from a product-centered business to an experience-driven brand, Sebang launched Rocket Planet—a new flagship store designed to deepen customer engagement through immersive storytelling.

Occupying a newly built three-story structure, Rocket Planet positions itself as a conceptual space station orbiting Earth. Inspired by the brand’s philosophy “BATTERY, BETTER LIFE,” the design embodies the potential of sustainable energy in daily life. Rather than functioning as a conventional retail space, Rocket Planet creates a sensory journey that fosters emotional connection and trust with visitors.

At the core of the concept lies the idea of energy density—a metaphor for Sebang’s compact yet powerful identity. The spatial experience unfolds in three stages: Wormhole, Rendezvous, and Orbit. These zones are designed not just as physical areas but as symbolic transitions in the user’s journey through the brand universe.

Visitors enter through a layered tunnel-like façade that simulates gravitational pull, leading into the Wormhole zone. Here, rough textures, lighting, and shadows interact to evoke the mystery of space. The Media Zone introduces Rocket Boy, the brand’s mascot, setting the tone for an imaginative and futuristic experience.

The central display hall, or Rendezvous, balances individuality and unity. Each modular fixture is positioned at ergonomic sightlines, creating visual rhythm while allowing negative space to invite contemplation. Bold geometric volumes and signature brand colors enhance spatial identity and stimulate curiosity from both interior and exterior viewpoints.

The final zone, Orbit, draws inspiration from solar panel arrays found on space shuttles. Mirrored ceiling panels reflect the vertical display elements, dissolving boundaries and expanding perception. The result is a dreamlike, multi-dimensional environment that visually amplifies the brand’s futuristic vision.

A key architectural feature is the elevator core, redesigned as a symbolic energy center. Serving both functional and expressive roles, it visualizes energy transfer through RGB gradients—making the invisible process of charging feel present and poetic.

Through its thoughtful composition of spatial metaphors, material choices, and narrative flow, Rocket Planet repositions Sebang Battery as more than a manufacturer. It becomes an energy culture brand—one that invites users to experience power not just as a utility, but as a catalyst for imagination and a better life.
