By researching Icelandic glaciers, Thomas Vailly and Laura Lynn Jansen were led to investigate the qualities found in naturally occurring crystals. With the application of contemporary methods, the duo conceived 101.86°, a lighting object which generates a layering of colourful illumination for a subtle yet eye-catching result. Resting along a simple wooden ledge with an integrated uplight, transparent panes can be interchanged and slid to overlap each other, generating a radiant and dynamic light source.
