A menswear store in Okayama, Japan, boasts an a-typical approach to buying, styling and presenting suits.
According to the space's designers at Nendo, most suit shops don’t have a relaxing atmosphere that lends to a comfortable shopping experience. The new Halsuit shop, however, was created with a unique approach: changerooms have been placed in pod-like structures in the centre of the shop, with their exterior walls used to showcase clothing options.
Nendo further installed a counter with magazines and a TV, as a type of waiting room for those accompanying shoppers who may tire or bore. Designed to resemble an office, there are lamps and desks so shoppers can try suits in a setting like where he will likely wear the suit most often: at work. Men can further role-play in their suits in a faux conference room.
