We have evolved the brand experience to create a high-impact lifestyle-led retail environment that responds to the vibrant retail culture of the city. Our design evokes the atmosphere and drama of a gallery space – rather than that of a conventional store – allowing products to be curated in impactful, eye-catching ways.

Our approach has opened up the perimeter to allow maximum light into the store, as well as to optimise views in and out. Switch-back escalators in a classic Conran blue are positioned in the centre of the store to act as a dramatic architectural feature and encourage circulation between the two floors.
Our design has given the store two distinctive identities; the ground floor is clean and light, combining raw materials to create a bold and experimental ‘lab’ feel. Contrastingly, the first floor presents customers with a richly atmospheric, relaxed ‘club’ feel, encouraging interaction with products and the spaces at a more leisurely pace.
The contrast between the two floors adds a sense of theatre and surprise to the experience, as well as giving variation and depth to the product merchandising.

The design also incorporates a prominently positioned ‘Orby’ café on the ground floor - Whilst consistent with the minimal aesthetic, the cafe adds a palette of cast concrete, perforated steel and timber furniture – and VIP rooms on the first floor - with walnut-panelled walls and a whisky display referencing the founder’s favourite tipple, to exude the ambience of a members’ club.
