Gastronomica, a renowned restaurant group celebrated for its exceptional upscale dining experiences, proudly unveiled Milkbun, its pioneering foray into the fast-food sector. This bold, avant-garde, tech-savvy sensation revolutionizes taste buds, offering made-to-order burgers and fries that will have you craving more.

The design team curated a bold space that utilized the brand's pink color above eye level, combined with a neutral grey palette within eyesight and subtle hints of black for a contemporary touch. This incorporates the brand's pink color while maintaining a gender-neutral image, creating an Instagram-worthy space to appeal to Generation Z.

The materials chosen were limited to a pink mesh paired with natural terrazzo in different forms, such as plain and fluted, adding depth to the space while maintaining simplicity.

The layout of the space strategically placed the cookie counter oven and freshly baked goods near the entrance with the highest footfall, creating appetizing aromas upon arrival. Paired with upbeat music, this engagement of all five senses enhanced the overall guest experience.

The seating feature in the space was designed to be fluid and organic, drawing inspiration from the brand's circular logo and curvaceous nature. All elements of the design were enclosed within a large circular lighting feature, adding a strong impact and highlighting the authenticity of the materials used.

To ensure the space was Instagram-worthy, the design team played with the size of the mesh circles to embed the brand's logo within them. Additionally, a wall washer light was employed to further emphasize this feature, creating a "picture-perfect" moment for guests. As a result, this particular scene has become the most widely shared image taken by guests on social media platforms using the hashtag #lovemilkbun.

Overall, the design of Milkbun's flagship store successfully incorporated the brand's visual identity, provided an efficient operational flow, and created a visually appealing space that resonated with the target audience. It excelled in innovation by introducing a tech-savvy ordering process, promoting creativity through its bold and impactful visual identity. Functionality is prioritized through an optimized layout design, enhancing the operational flow and guest experience. Lastly, sustainability was addressed through the use of natural materials, efficient resource management, and cost-effective decisions.
