JetBrains office in Saint Petersburg is the largest working space of the IT company. It’s area is more than 25,000 square meters, the building is located on the picturesque shore of the Gulf of Finland. The architects were challenged to rebuild the two towers and stylobate referred to the former apart-hotel and create a functional and most comfortable interior that meets modern working scenarios. Spacious entrance group with a reception and a large interactive screen are facing the main facade of the building. Here high technology is integrated into the general stylistic context. However design features like dark colors, complex textures of wall finishes and natural textures of wood and stones allow avoiding the inherent high-tech coldness. All main functional areas are centered around multi-light atriums that pierce both towers and are the pivots of the entire office. Bypass galleries are fully viewed from the lower to the upper levels - this allowed to create end-to-end floor navigation using supergraphics. Since the atrium is quite aesthetic, the main emphasis was on natural materials through which green plants make their way. Alpine hills with plant compositions and dwarf trees are located in the center of the first floor. On the upper floors of the office there are recreation areas with access to a circular outdoor terrace, which offers beautiful panoramic views of the Gulf of Finland, Neva river, Zenit Arena and the Lakhta Center skyscraper. In the recreation area there are lounges, coffee points, a kicker room and a library. There is also a place for a billiard room, gaming and music rooms and a small cinema hall for employees. Working spaces for employees, meeting rooms and rooms for phone calls are on the other floors of the towers. On the ground floor, which is shared by the both towers, there are training and conference rooms. The largest hall is transformed to various formats of events and accommodates up to 400 guests. Everything is made for a wellbeing atmosphere in the new office. For sports there is a gym with massage rooms and a table tennis area. Employees from both towers have breakfast and lunch in a two-level dining room with a full-cycle kitchen and their own bakery. In the warmer months, people can chat with colleagues on the outdoor terrace with stunning views. The designers were faced with the task of creating not only a modern interior that meets all the advanced scenarios of work, but also making it as cozy, friendly and comfortable as possible, integrating elements of the digital environment into it. In this context, workspaces are designed in neutral basic colors with the allocation of common areas, a combination of active colors and elements in the warm texture of the tree.
