Creativity
Laubbe Design created and patented a unique reclining system that allows to move from sitting to laying in an infinite number of positions. The exceptional lightness of the movement and stability arises from the uniform distribution of the body weight between the seat and the backrest. The backrest is fixed to a mobile part that moves along the curve incorporated in the chassis. The curve is designed to counterweigh the natural gravity at any stage of the movement. When the backrest moves backward, the seat raises to a horizontal position.

Innovation
From the beginning, our purpose is to elevate the comfort and well-being of users. Executing the idea from a functional prototype to a lounger with an authentic personality has been a journey. The lounger Élévation is designed to captivate the senses with a unique blend of precision engineering and wood handwork. We worked closely with artisans that inspired us profoundly and our Swiss designer until we felt the very particular emotion of an iconic design: elegant, harmonic with the necessary sophistication to connect with and inspire users. Our desire is to generate positive emotions with the soft touch of sanded wood exalting its grain, natural movements and an atemporal design and its special blend of modern angles with rounded shapes.

Functionality
Élévation lounger follows the body movement and solves an essential pain point of traditional loungers. With a smooth push backward or forward you can adapt your position from seating, down to laying or any midway resting position that you desire.
You can immerse yourself reading a book, lean in a relaxed semi-reclined position to enjoy the site or lay down for a nap. The perfect weight distribution between the seat and the backrest is an essential feature to the health benefit and ergonomics, alleviating the weight pressure on the backbones and avoiding the body slump in sitting position that occurs with many traditional loungers when the seat remains in horizontal position.

Sustainability
We produce our loungers with durable materials that can be maintained in perfect state during decades. Our artisans from Java use SVLK legal timber wood and are engaged to maintain the forest in its native state. Stainless steel is infinitely reusable in EAF steel industry by a melting process through an electrical current. Producing close to natural resources is an environmental advantage. We are studying options to relocate to Europe with local wood in order to additionally reduce transport footprint and increase local work.
