Functionality:
Minimalist, elegant and with well-defined, clean-cut silhouettes, JJ is a heating accessory designed to elevate your bathroom routine to a spa-like experience. When JJ is turned off, it is a shelf on which to store and organise your towels or small bathroom essentials. When it is on, it warms your towels and provides a feeling of well-being after a shower or bath as you can wrap yourself in a warm and dry towel. A slit, which is either open or closed depending on the model, works as a towel rail. As well as being used in domestic settings, JJ plays a key role in improving guest comfort in worlds such as Hospitality and in the Wellness and Nautical industries, thanks to its combined function as storage surface and source of heat for hand towels and guest towels.
Innovation:
Thanks to its extra-low voltage (24 Volts), this electrical heating object can be installed in wet areas or near water, such as in volume 1 of the bathroom, providing easy access to warm towels inside a walk-in shower or above a bathtub, for an even more extraordinary and satisfying comfort experience. The extra-low voltage makes it absolutely safe even in places where it cannot be installed normally. So there are no spatial and safety limits for this innovative heating solution that finds place in previously forbidden contexts.
Creativity:
The name "JJ" recalls the shape of the product itself, its structure seen from the side bringing together two horizontally stacked J-shaped elements. Ludovica Serafini+Roberto Palomba drew their inspiration from the vision of the American artist Donald Judd. The shelf is available in three sizes and power ratings and in various configurations to accommodate a variety of needs and cultural uses. The simple version is supplemented with models with an open or closed slot, on the left or right side. JJ is also available in a wide variety of colours including all the 140 shades in the Tubes colour chart, with the exception of glossy and wrinkled finishes. The styling has also been painstakingly designed down to the smallest detail. The fluted surface and the final undulation of the horizontal part make this heating object delightful to touch and soft and light on the eye too.
Eco-Social Impact:
JJ can be integrated into the heating system using any control device, including home automation. Temperature control and weekly programming are easy to manage via wireless devices or using the Wi-Fi thermostat, so you will always find a warm towel, ready to delight in its blissful feel at the end of the day, or even when you wake up. Programming helps to avoid unnecessary waste of energy and to limit consumption according to real needs. The Wi-Fi thermostat can be set also via a mobile app, thus it can be controlled remotely thanks to voice assistants too. Moreover, the use of recyclable aluminium means it can easily be disposed of at the end of its life.
