Carton brick, stainless steel screw

The package design is made of carton brick, originated from the interior design and our reflections on the whole space. Inspired by the design of portable rammed-earth brick, we created the portable carton brick. Why carton brick? It’s light, environment friendly, solid, easy cutting, and cost effective. The common characteristic for rammed-earth brick and carton brick is they are raw and have a handfeel of natural forms.

In the manufacturing process, we use clinker-built layer to pile up carton boards into carton bricks. A complete cutting from the side of carton board you will find the natural texture of architecture. The hollowed triangle in the side can stand pressure evenly, and the carton bricks are extremely light due to innumerable holes in the brick.

A set of screw and nut was used to fasten the carton brick, a design extension of the whole space. The screw and nut used here were also extensively used to secure the joints of furniture in the space. We use the screw and nut here on the brick to strengthen the relationship between the space and the carton bricks.

The carton brick brings a brand-new experimental business design focuses on Pick'n Go. It’s a practical application of modulization logic in business scenario.
