MILAN – At Superstudio Più in the Tortona district, a blanched forest will endlessly reflect a collection of collaborations which push the LG Hausys brand's material HI-MACSⓇ to the max.
What do Alessandro Mendini, Ben van Berkel, Stefano Giovannoni, Karim Rashid and Marcel Wanders have in common? Creative collaborations with materials manufacturer LG Hausys under each of their belts. As part of Fuorisalone, LG Hausys will make an endless installation of explorations entitled Collaboration Elements. A grove of HI-MACSⓇ columns will bear the fruits of the acclaimed designer's labours over the years, reflecting a multitude of hues, patterns, shapes and textures into oblivion.
Within the presence of seamless surfaces made only possible with HI-MACSⓇ, four additional materials will appear within the thicket of trends, including DECO Benif, Wallcovering, Flooring and Automotive Leather. Suited for interior and product-related applications, the high performance substances and textiles will reveal their potential all while bewildering onlookers. New to the scene, the Lucia collection – with 3 colours by Marcel Wanders – will reveal itself amid the mysterious scenery.
Collaboration Elements runs from 12–17 April 2016 at Fuorisalone's Superstudio Più at Via Tortona 27 in Milan.
