A sign of previous success at Ventura Lambrate, Ventura Berlin and Ventura Interieur, the Ventura Projects organisation unveils its latest venture: Ventura London. The first edition will be held during the upcoming London Design Festival 2014, begining on September 17th and be open to the public between the 18th and 21st of September.
Ventura London will bring more experimental and conceptual works to the fairground of designjunction, complementing the more established brands that exhibit there. This edition will occupy an indoor area making the new show smaller in size from the large, outdoor venue in Milan but London's edition will not lack in quality.
Exhibitions will still give visitors the 'eye-openers' that Ventura Projects is known for. The building's open structure and industrial ambiance will breathe the real 'Ventura' atmosphere. With 31 exhibitors from 12 diverse countries showcasing their work in collection exhibitions like in Ventura Lambrate.
Art directors Margriet Vollenberg and Margo Konings choose the new location in the UK because 'a lot of creative talents and new design ideas are emerging here and that is exactly what we aim to present with our Ventura Projects.' Ventura London was organised by 'looking for new and exciting developments and finding a synergy in the exhibitors that we select.'
Visitors will see a range of different products and concepts, including Emma van der Leest's materials made with synthetic biology or Rachel Harding's glass cabinets made with a view-control film which creates diverse views when observed from different perspectives.
Ventura London will take place in The Sorting Office at 21-31 New Oxford Street, London WC1A 1BA.
