Is it possible to use noise to create new and interesting letterforms? That’s the question that sparked Sound Meets Type, the project with which Håkon Stensholt earned a master’s degree in visual communication at Konstfack. And the answer is clearly yes. Using self-developed software, the recent graduate brings together two unlikely design disciplines, creating typography from data inherently connected to sound. Collaborating on the project with Paulo Barcelos, Stensholt explores letterforms in a contemporary and technologically advanced manner.
