PC DEPOT, a company that tackles issues in digital society, has launched the YOKOHAMA KEY STATION office, equipped with a lounge and showroom exclusive to its digital business members.

The goals of the new office are the ubiquitous emergence of creation, compilation and transmission to be shared by all through monitors, and at the same time the coexistence of digital and nature-inspired spaces to ensure comfort in the office that would otherwise tend to be a futuristic ambiance in a flurry of digital data.

The editorial office and design room, where digital solutions are produced, are located in front of the 19th-floor entrance, nested between the customer service desks arranged on both sides, where digital-related issues are cast. The 18th floor holds a library and showroom where members and employees interact, as well as a hall to hold social events.

Each floor has studios with broadcasting equipment. They are connected via a 4m-wide corridor, where we expect the employees and members coming and going to find an opportunity to have conversations. The broadcasting station was inspired as a place for real-time intermingling of information, into which we integrated PC DEPOT’s philosophy of “Digital for Everyday Life.” Consisting of natural and tactile materials in earth colors, the space resulted in a digital nature environment.
