Yiyun Dental Clinic is a chain brand dental medical institution located in Shanghai. For business needs, the clinic decided to rebuild a clinic located in Changning District, Shanghai. This clinic is located on the sixth floor of a commercial building, and the whole building facilities are old. The brand owner hopes that this renovation will not only expand the use area of the clinic, but also improve the overall image of the brand.

The rise of private dental clinics is due to the fact that public hospitals are far from meeting people's needs for daily oral care, coupled with the crowded environment and cold service of public hospitals. People prefer to find a professional and comfortable private dental clinic. The design focuses on the emotional impact of space on people, reducing communication barriers between patients and doctors and enhancing patients' confidence in rehabilitation. Create a warm and powerful dental clinic.

The design starts from remolding the space emotion to build the whole medical space. The emotional needs of patients for medical space can be divided into two levels: professional hygiene and friendly feelings, so the design focuses on these two levels.

The overall space design adopts simple and clear modeling language and bright and clean materials to create a professional and hygienic overall atmosphere of medical space. At the same time, in order to avoid being too cold and stiff, we put a leisure area in the reception area, where patients can wait, talk and rest. The warm and comfortable emotional space created by the leisure area. For children patients, we specially designed an activity space similar to a cave for children to play and entertain, so as to relieve their nervousness in seeing a doctor.

The design uses different materials and colors through the technique of spatial emotional contrast, which makes the spatial contrast have a dialogue, and at the same time makes different functional divisions coordinate in the overall atmosphere. Designers hope to influence the doctor-patient relationship in medical institutions through space design. Although everyone has different positions and majors, they can respect each other and jointly create a harmonious medical environment.
