Located on the 4th floor of the “Little Singer Building” that has housed Yabu Pushelberg’s New York studio for the past eight years, is a newly renovated loft space designed to offer a calming getaway and meet the social needs of a busy design studio. This dynamic, multi-purpose space was designed to host both daily proceedings and large gatherings. The new space is where the staff relaxes and celebrates together and also where client meetings, media events, product launches and parties are held throughout the year.
A growing business and the expansion of areas of practice required a studio re-vamp and some much needed additional square footage. The new space, two floors above the frenetic design studio, measures a 2,100 sq.ft. community space that includes two formal and one informal meeting spaces, a lounge, full washroom (complete with shower) and a large chefs kitchen. Conceived as a chic New York apartment, minus the sleeping quarters, the warm, welcoming, residentially inspired loft was designed with quiet luxury in mind. Warm, wide-plank oiled oak floors throughout extend to the gracious kitchen, complete with integrated appliances and seventeen-foot stone and wood topped island was designed for sharing food, thoughts and ideas.
