HUALUXE SANYA YALONG BAY RESORT - ADD & Chinese Restaurant

Cleverly hidden in the lush tropical landscape, XIANYAN sea-view all-day dining restaurant is located next to the lobby of HUALUXE Sanya Yalong Bay Resort. Close to the mountain and the sea, it is positioned as a family restaurant embraced by nature. The indoor dining area is connected to the outdoor area, overlooking the cloud-like swimming pool, the vast sea and the green hills in the distance.

Inspired by the culture of the Li people, the earliest inhabitants of Sanya, XIANYAN is created under the theme of “Wind Whispering in the Forest Hut”. The textiles made by the Li people with traditional shuttles have a unique style of weaving patterns, which are restructured and translated into the screen and wall texture, black and white floor tiles. The overall color palette is based on creamy white, which is complemented by the pinkish-orange of the Li people’s loam walls, the greyish-green of the natural landscape, the black and white tropical forest motif and the texture of cotton, linen and rattan to create a fashionable, relaxing and artistic spatial experience.

The Chinese restaurant has a more Eastern aesthetic and atmosphere. The open and translucent latticework brings the tropical forest landscape and local lake views into the space. Elegant tones, soft light and shadows, and furniture in simple shapes further immerse the guests in the charm of the East. The reception area decor celebrates full bloom. The glass, with its silhouette of tropical trees, creates a secluded atmosphere. The typical sun, moon and star patterns of Li brocade and the structural form of brick folk houses are interpreted in the lattice pattern and wall decoration, adding rich detail to the space.

In terms of sustainable practices, the two restaurants use local rammed earth and rattan materials to reduce carbon emissions during transportation. The floor of the Chinese restaurant is made of wood grain SPC, a formaldehyde-free material that contains no glue during production and requires no adhesive during installation. Given its proximity to the sea, the ceiling of the all-day dining restaurant uses off-white profiled aluminium panels to increase resistance to corrosion and abrasion, thereby extending the life of the space.
