BASIS China's Wuhan campus, which opened in the fall of 2023, encompasses all levels of education from preschool to high school. With a total floor area of over 78,000 square meters, the campus has 73 standard classrooms, 7 professional laboratories, 500 square meters of lecture halls, 1,400 square meters of libraries, and other high-end and complete teaching spaces. We are committed to creating a "modern campus" environment that allows students to develop in a holistic and multidimensional way.

Different from the traditional foyer design, the architecture of the arch, space nesting logic into the interior space design, so that the whole space presents an elegant, quiet and ceremonial atmosphere. Minimalist geometric space form, symmetry, arc, light and shadow as a spatial background. The lamp posts on the arches are like burning torches to light up the children's way to knowledge.

The teaching atrium is long and narrow, and the sunlight leaves dappled shadows through the skylight. Combined with the shape of the original architectural floor, the circular arc is used as the main tone of the design, dividing the rectangular space and forming a singled-out space as a resting place for the students and teachers in between classes. The light wood staircase with different shapes adds interest to the overall design, and echoes with the arc shape to present the beauty of minimalist geometry.

The campus library has triple height, inspired by the arch of western churches, the original beams are hidden and extended to create an orderly arrangement and combination, adding a sense of ceremony to the large space. the sunlight is refracted in the arch beams as white as the whale ribs.The ceiling shape of the canteen is a continuation of the arched window frames on the facade of the building, which extends the volume of the building to the interior, and the use of the arched ceiling hides the air-conditioning equipment and pipelines, making the indoor and outdoor space appear more holistic and concise.

The ceiling of the swimming pool is a continuous undulating wave element, the rhythmic beauty of light and shadow is hidden between the arched grills, and the water ripples are softly mapped on the ceiling to form visual ripples, which makes the whole space full of quietness and a sense of sophistication.

BASIS School offers a wide range of sports and arts programs. In addition to dual playgrounds, a heated swimming pool, and a 3,300-square-meter indoor gymnasium, Bayside School also has an amphitheater, a lecture hall, a black-box theater, and other arts activity spaces.The foyer of the kindergarten is very different from the foyer of primary and secondary schools. Walking into the lobby, you can feel the lively and lovely atmosphere,the pace has been designed as "Alice's magical cave of dreams". Through the design of different fairy tale themed classrooms, it stimulates children's creative color senses, discovery and inquisitive nature.
