Miller Zell was contacted by Western Union/Pago Facil to create new Interior/Exterior images for their retail spaces in Argentina, securing the unification of two visually different brands. Western Union, a globally recognized company, doesn’t enjoy as much recognition in Argentina, while Pago Facil has become a solid brand in the local market, being well established in the population’s mind. The client looked to reinforce Western Union’s brand identity as well as to re-launch it’s presence in the country without reducing Pago Facil’s importance in the equation. They also wanted to convey the brand’s main attributes, which include trust, security, and closeness as well as the simplicity that both brands propose and are essential for the local market. The design was to be adaptable to different service centers, with a high standardization level and a simple, efficient implementation, (simple materials such as Porcelanato, Vinyl and Formica were applied to maintain this). Paydesks were modernized and both brands were integrated through exterior poster work. The conceptual design played out with a very clear layout and a strong graphic design proposal, working with vinyls covering the totality of the walls. We worked with both brand’s corporate colors, focusing on yellow which both of them share with grey to combine, and then with black for Western Union and Magenta for Pago Facil which we added in details to convey this idea of brand coexistence.
