Run by director Ho-Sun Chan, We Pictures is a Hong Kong film production company. While filmmaking has always been a collaborative business, Office AIO strives to craft its Beijing branch that is frequented by staff traveling between HK & BJ with the goal to elevate and invigorate the modes of mobile working in close network with local producing partners.

The effort begins with propagating creative exchange via a spatial configuration following a pinwheel, while sectoring floor area into: open-plan workstations, executive’s offices, director’s room and pantry area, the looped circulation centres the heart of Chan’s creative process – the war room – a versatile social space tailored for brainstorming and review sessions. Enveloped by electromagnetic glass and a seamless plane of light above, the room is anchored by a floating alpine green marble slab, contoured by minimal but luxurious leather furniture. The otherwise transparent war room transforms into a diffused volume of light when in use, signifying a creative development in progress. Symbolically invigorates the surrounding workspaces.

Rendered in high transparency, full height glazing is used extensively for all divisions, allowing natural light to be filtered deep into the space. Bespoke details and furniture aim to diminish in space, chairs in off-white to blend in with enclosing walls, table legs finished in chrome. The clutter of objects recedes to allow room for focus and creativity.
