A showroom for the VISUM brand designed entirely for the display of only one product. VISUM is a prime architectural aluminum solution company that provide high-end products that are energy-efficient and offers innovative technology solutions.

In our case, the one product that the architects were asked to plan for, is an innovative product that enables a special opening mechanism for the windows.

Its uniqueness lays in the hidden mechanism that allows its parts to open and close easily and almost weightlessly when it hovers slightly above the floor and moves only on an overhead rail, so that the floor has no rails at all. This fact allows a continuous view of the flooring from inside the structure to the outside and vice versa.

The space was designed like a monastic temple, clean and pure with the aim of presenting one product through which you can see a glimpse into the future. The architects chose to plan the space like a "temple" in order to do so they created a "cave" with a concrete finish & the product is displayed inside. The "cave" element outlines the form of the other design elements in the project and thus forms a connecting Weaver Line between all the components.

Another important design element is the re-use of the perforated metal surfaces. The architects chose to use an industrial metal product, originally used as perforated pavements for rainwater drainage or ventilation of underground spaces, they collected leftovers from industrial factories and turned them into a design element that holds a brand new characteristics and Feel.

The way they chose to process the industrial material is by bending and folding it into pleads that produces a softer look. Through the bending and folding of the material, the connections between the different panels are almost invisible and thus they were able to utilize and recycle that material.

The combination of the pleaded metal and the built "cave" gives the space a futuristic look that hints regarding the innovation of the product on display. This metal element covers all the elevations & also folds up to the ceiling.

The layout of the project is simple. upon entry, the exposure to the displayed product is done gradually. The client enters through alongside the perforated metal element which lead to the reception desk, shaped like a wave that is directly derived from the shape of the "cave" and made out of blue natural stone, from where the product can be seen, pass through or around it and the client can examine its parts, that are displayed as jewellery inside a metal arches element. Its shape is also derived from the other elements and the blue color was chosen in accordance with the branding colors of the displayed product.
