The Design Exhibition “Visible x Invisible Kazuhiro Yamanaka” presented in the gallery of the Power Station of Art is this Japanese designer’s first solo exhibition in China. 14most iconic projects from his designing career are shown in the exhibition, including prototypes handled by many brands Boffi, Ingo Maurer, Pallucco, and a new device created for this exhibition. Saori Miwa from LITTLE inc. is involved in design of the exhibition space along Kazuhiro’s design philosophy. Kazuhiro’s multidisciplinary approach challenges the boundaries of product design, lighting design and Art. He thinks that “There is a value only to those invisible. I admire the space around objects, not the objects itself. Designing the object is meaningless to me; object is just a tool to design the space around”.
