A summer house residence built In-One with the nature in the archipelago of Torö. The building is shaped and influenced to adjust to the site's materials; its rocks, minerals, pine forests and the ocean's winds. The summer residence is located on a natural mountain ridge overlooking trees and the archipelago countryside. Despite its generous building volume, a terrain-adapted small scale is created: Different bodies are linked and materials are carefully selected to create a natural place. Volumes contain varied qualities for distinctive uses and atmospheres such as quiet openings to the mountain, spatial space among the tree tops, small undulating niches and at the center: a generous and sunny atrium in protection from the wind. The interior is a poetry of mixed uses. On ground level spaces are customized for the hunters lodge in durable materials and rustically carved furniture. A diagonal staircase create a room dividing object and leads up to main floor where natural light from generous windows and openings gives a sense of a place in the middle of the forest. Top floor is a private attic with bespoke cabinets and customized bathroom with natural stones and niches facing the tree tops.
