Once more Studios40 had the opportunity to design the set for the 2018 "Victoires de la Musique", an annual, French music awards show in Paris, hosted by Sting as a special guest.

For the first time, the show has been taken place in a new concert hall called "The Musical Seine", designed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines. It was important for us to create a link between the site's identity, this contemporary builduing and our proposal. In harmony with its context, the event decor was composed of curved elements with the intent to immerse artists, musicians and the public in a collective experience through light curves wrapping stage and spectators as one.

The structure of the parametrically designed light installation was achieved through the construction of a three-dimensional mesh composed of metal tubes spanning 10m high by 14m deep.

Another core concept is the versatility of our design, which offers a wide variety of possibilities to the artists, allowing them to express their musical creativity and amplify their performances.

The main objective was to create a « sensitive destination », where each song produces maximal emotional impact, enhancing the connection between performers and audience.
