This 450sqm flagship store for luxury fashion brand V Grass in Nanjing, China is inspired by the materiality and grandeur of the Italian palazzo. Recalling the geometrical composition of classical European architecture, the space is divided into four rooms, culminating in a generous rotunda. The four retail spaces feature walls lined in rich silks in sumptuous metallic hues and floors of fresh, white terrazzo. The spaces are linked axially with grand terrazzo portals. The monolithic terrazzo floor flows through the four retail areas, each featuring its own luxurious inset bamboo silk carpet in varying shades; from soft blush pink through to a warm grey. The store provides generous, comfortable seating areas encouraging the shopper to relax and take time to enjoy the experience. This is the first V Grass store to incorporate a private lounge, which will cater to VIP customers and offer a venue for exclusive receptions and events. The entrance to this is concealed, giving it the appeal of a secret hideaway. It is furnished in smokey teal velvet and warm grey terrazzo featuring bespoke mirrored screens featuring panels of antique wooden sewing spools. Original artworks inspired by the V Grass couture range line the space creating a totally immersive brand showcase.
