Our design started with two key words, technology and nature. They are the core qualities that I read from the owner's main product. This Headquarters is not only a R&D laboratory or co-work space, but also a brand showroom, we want to create an atmosphere that coincide with the brand image.

A feeling of nature result not only in organic forms we created, but also sunlight and greenery we brought in. The entrance staircase and its extended cinema facade are covered by anodized aluminium panels. The Hyperboloid form of the stairs is an abstract transformation of the mountain view outside. When you come to the atrium upstairs you would be put in an immersive nature. Here greenery is reflected by mirrored aluminum panels,the folded arrangement of which diffuses sunlight. You feel covered by sun and green.

Acrylic is also an interesting material. We use it to contain products. It and the aluminum plate themselves are relatively cold and rational artificial materials, but by actively communicate with the environment, finally result in warmth and sensibility.

For the cinema, the expression of the materials give way to function, and we choose to let the lighting do the design. A series of lighting scenes controlled in a software create a sense of ritual for key moments like entry, start, exit, and etc.

The shared office area aimed to incubate e-commerce platform of dendrobium related property is located on the top two floors, around a planted, sun-filled atrium. An all-glass curtain wall to fully open up the space, is all we designed, with no decoration.
