For Nashville’s first true lifestyle hotel, Thompson Nashville, Parts and Labor Design was tapped to conceptualize a design that celebrates the city’s creative spirit while also embracing a modern experience that is both timeless and fashion forward. Located in The Gulch neighborhood, the hotel’s concept embodies a young and culturally-driven design aesthetic that is both upscale and effortless. Thoughtfully curated and handcrafted elements are found throughout the hotel’s public spaces, restaurant and rooftop bar, as well as its guestrooms and suites. The upscale dining scene mixes vintage marsh-inspired wallcoverings and tile and tambour dueling bars with impressive drapery, bespoke furniture, and impactful light fixtures, all highlighting a well-appointed and luxurious residential eclecticism celebrated in the South. The residential vibe continues from the lobby and restaurant to the corridors on the guestroom floors and into the suites. Wanting each room to have a cozy and comfortable feel, the design team created an entry foyer within all guestrooms and suites. Furniture and fixtures, casegoods, tapestries, rugs, and curated artwork provide a luxurious yet relaxed feeling in the suites. The hotel’s rooftop restaurant features glass garage doors that lead to an expansive patio with breath-taking panoramic city views. Together with its bold design and confident style, the rooftop restaurant creates a sense of place that is fresh and familiar.
