The design of the complex. which combines advanced regenerative medicine, ancient oriental medicine, and traditional Japanese food culture. The complex opened in Tokyo based on the concept of medicine and food as the same source of health, both inside and outside the body, and occupies the upper five floors of a high-rise building.
The complex combines a state-of-the-art medical facility for stem cell cultivation and infusion, a wellness salon with Sri Lankan-derived Ayurveda and steam sauna based on Eastern philosophy, and a fermented Japanese restaurant with the theme of “medicine and food as the same source,” with each floor assigned a different function.
The interior is decorated with natural materials such as old wood, logs, and plaster throughout, and the aging of time, natural forms, and texture of the materials are utilized to create a space that expresses the oriental and Japanese worldview of the concept.
The active use of old timber minimized the need for new logging and the manufacture of interiors, which also reduced carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, if this project can promote the appeal of old timber and increase the use of old timber in other types of construction, it will also help to curb excessive deforestation.
