"The Grove" is a coworking space for hairdressers, makeup artists, and stylists. Built on the complex structure of an old house, the space features a clear and functional layout to enhance efficiency. Beyond functionality, the client envisioned a visually striking and captivating environment—one that embodies creativity and versatility. With a background in art and styling, they sought to infuse the space with this essence by hosting events, fostering connections with artists and photographers, and cultivating a dynamic, inspiring atmosphere.

The Grove's brief was to design a coworking space for hairdressers, make-up artists and stylists, seamlessly combining functionality and aesthetics to inspire creativity and encourage collaboration. To achieve this, a blank canvas was created, retaining the existing ceilings and exposing the fixtures and fittings. The walls were reclaimed and painted off-white, creating a neutral backdrop that enhances the overall ambience.

The floors were finished with a bright salmon pink continuous resin, which adds a subtle but distinctive touch of colour. Ancillary areas, such as lockers, toilets and the kitchen, were wrapped in a warm brownish red tone that harmonised with the main design elements. To improve the circulation in the space, the fixed window was replaced by a sliding glass door, opening up the premises to the street and creating a direct connection to the outside.

The bespoke stainless steel furniture was integrated throughout the space, reflecting an elegant, modern and industrial aesthetic. Highlights include the centrally located washbasin, which stands out for its striking presence, and the entrance table, designed in the shape of a scissors, symbolising the central concept.

The careful combination of materials and finishes creates a cohesive and dynamic environment that enhances both the functionality and visual appeal of the coworking space.
