The lobby, is a rigorous and monumental space. It is meant to seem “devoid” on purpose, in order to enhance the strong characteristic elements. The tall pillars in white marble, inspired by the classic greek-roman temples, exalt the vertical space and separate the first entrance from the elevator waiting area. Their unique shapes create an eye-catching visual effect, letting the visitor see what is behind the pillars: a textured white marble wall decorated in low-relief. The light installation hanging from the ceiling highlight the exceptional height of 13 mt. of the first part of the lobby, decorating and functionally illuminating at the same time. The giant doors have hinges in cast bronze, decorated with dragons in high-relief. These doors, separating and eventually closing the space, have a very strong emotional impact, exalting the majestic height of the ceiling. All these elements welcome and surprise the visitor coming in the lobby, completely covered in striped marble. The grand reception counter gives the illusion of being carved in a single block of solid marble. For the light installation, the designer envisioned a flock of cranes flying lightly and graciously in the lobby hall space. From the moving and beating of the cranes’ wings colorful feathers come off softly and float gracefully in the air. These elements are manufactured in brass and brightly polished, their shape is curvy and extremely light. All curvy elements are equipped with a LED light.
